Shopping – Just down the street from Pinewood Lodge is a new shopping area with all of the major stores you need. Super Target, Ross, Barnes & Nobel, Wolfe Camera, JC Penny, Foleys, Albertsons, Men's Warehouse and many more. Across the street within a short walking distance is a new Walgreens store where you can have all your prescriptions filled.

Dining – If you've decided that it's time for dinner out, then your choices are abundant with Red Lobster, right across the street, Mimi's Cafe, Dennys, Village Inn, Olive Garden, Chili's and many more all within a short distance from home. But be sure not to forget Cold Stone Creamery for dessert, because everyone loves ice cream.

Within walking distance are three golf courses, a beautiful park with walking, skating and bicycling trails, a pond with geese and ducks, a local senior center, the Wings museum and more. Transportation – Around town is as close as you need it with an RTD bus stop right next to Pinewood. From the Alameda & Havana Station you can get to all of the major areas including Downtown Denver, where an even greater number of restaurants, museums, shopping and activities can be found.
